New Zealand Promoter About MH Cancellation

Machine Head

US Heavy metal group Machine Head have cancelled their forthcoming NZ show in Auckland which was scheduled for the Powerstation on Friday 26th October.

The reason is unclear at this stage but the NZ promoter has been forced to cancel the show as Machine Head have stated they are not coming to New Zealand.

The band's website states that issuance of Visas for New Zealand was a problem, when in fact NZ visas had been organised by the promoter, and issued, and ready for Machine Head to collect.

The show was confirmed by Machine Head management on Oct 2nd and listed on their official website.

This allowed a very tight time frame to set up a show of this size, but all necessary steps were taken and tickets were on sale within a week, with a strong fan turnout on the opening days of sale.

The promoter would like to thank NZ fans for their faith and support, as well as presenters The AXE ATTACK for their unbridled enthusiasm in pushing the show.

The MACHINE HEAD show in Japan prior to New Zealand, and the Australian tour scheduled after the New Zealand show are still going ahead as planned.

No substitute show has been considered.

Refunds are available from point of sale.

This is an unfortunate decision made by Machine Head and not a promoter error. If you are dissatisfied with the cancellation - please take it up with Machine Head.
